Lightning Families --
Since yesterday, February 23, was our seventh cancellation of an instructional day for those on the traditional calendar, we are past our allotted forgiven days of six.
We have two days in the calendar identified this year as makeup days if needed. With this cancellation, the LCS buildings following the traditional calendar will now be scheduled to be in session following the Monday after Spring Break, April 6.
This is noted on the 2025-26 traditional calendar:
* April 6 and May 22 are non-scheduled days of student instruction that may be scheduled if rescheduling of days is needed in order to meet State-required minimum days of instruction for cancellations due to conditions not within the control of school authorities such as severe storms, power outages, etc.
The buildings on a year-round calendar (Turrill and Year-Round ONLY at Rolland-Warner) were already off today due to K-6 Records Day and thus, are still at six days of canceled instruction and will not have to make up today.
This is noted on the 2025-26 year-round calendar.
Thank you!
